The Academy of Childbirth Educators and Doulas, Inc. (ACED) is a doula certification organization dedicated to training and providing continuing educational opportunities for birth doulas, childbirth educators, and healthcare professionals. We strive to reach underserved birthing communities, with an emphasis on rural areas.
We offer quality programs and support for professionals who nurture families through their pregnancy, labor, birth, postpartum, and lactation.
Our goal is to train doulas to actively involve parents in the prenatal, labor, birth, and postpartum periods. Our doulas enhance the birth experience by fostering relationships between parents, birth workers, healthcare providers and their communities.
ACED respects and values diverse life experiences and heritages and ensures that all voices are valued and heard. Our programs serve all individuals regardless of ethnicity, religion, national origin, gender identity or expression, sexual orientation, disability, or socioeconomic background.
